The head of the National Prisoners’ Affairs Committee, Abd al-Qadir al-Murtada, announced the release of a group of Saudi prisoners.
Al-Murtada said in a statement today: ” in response to the orders of the leadership, 6 of the Saudi prisoners were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross and we are awaiting similar steps from the forces of aggression to release our prisoners.”
Last October, the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs released 350 prisoners of aggression, including three Saudis, in a unilateral initiative led by the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
