Yemen Petroleum Company spokesman, Esam Al-Mutawakel, denied the arrival of any fuel tanker at Hodeidah port so far.
He told Almasirah “We have been informed that 4 fuel tankers will be allowed to enter, and so far none of them have arrived. It is strange that 3 of them belonged to the private sector factories and only one for the public sector, confirming that Yemen is in a catastrophic situation, and most sectors operate with half the operating capacity because of the lack of fuel.”
He pointed out that the detention of fuel tankers contradicts International Resolution 2216 and with the Stockholm Agreement, explaining that we have never heard of detaining fuel ships, food and medicinal products in any war in the world except in the aggression against Yemen.
He renewed his refusal to barter the oil derivatives and the humanitarian issues, in general, with any military or political addresses.
For his part, Deputy Head of Red Sea Ports, Yahya Sharaf al-Din, said that the detention and delay of the arrival of fuel tankers continues from the first day of the US-Saudi aggression until today.
Sharaf al-Din pointed out that communication with the administration of Hodeidah port continuously and until now, no ship had communicated with the port, stressing that the control rooms in the port of Hodeidah had communicated with the stalled ships, and the response was that there were no instructions to move to the port.
