The President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Saturday urged the Ministry of the Public Health and Population to control prices of hospital services and medicines and to work to provide a strategic stock of medicines.
During his meeting today with the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel, President Al-Mashat discussed the level of performance in the health sector, and the difficulties facing this sector as a result of the war and the siege that Yemen is facing.
President Al-Mashat emphasized the need to pay attention to medical education and give it priority to provide the health sector with qualified cadres.
He stressed the importance of continuous evaluation of the performance of public and private centers and hospitals, and improving the level of medical services provided to patients.
At the meeting, President Al-Mashat was briefed on the health sector strategy 2022-2025, which included presidential directives and general directions.
