Al-Same’i, Calls on People of Taiz to Avoid Confrontations between Mercenary Militia

 Sultan Al-Same’i, member of the Supreme Political Council, renewed his call to citizens in the areas controlled by the Saudi-mercenaries in Taiz to avoid armed clashes and confrontations between the mercenary militias. He called them to move to Al-Houban and Al-Janad in order to preserve their safety.

Al-Same’i stressed that this invitation comes as part of the Supreme Political Council’s keenness on the safety of the people of the province or visitors to the city of Taiz, which suffers from chaos, assassinations and almost daily clashes between the Islah militias and others.

“We renew our call to young people in the city and those who suffered and suffer from the crimes of the Islah militias to the uprising in the face of injustice and to refuse to depend on these militias that violate the blood and rights of citizens within the city,” he said in a statement to Saba News Agency.

The Supreme Politician member urged all merchants and financial men to contribute to supporting this uprising and going out to the safe area of ​​Al-Houban and Al-Janad run by the Salvation Government in order to preserve the safety of their lives and property.

He also called on all jurists, politicians and organizations interested in human rights in the city to expose the crimes and violations of these militias against citizens.

Al-Same’i considered that the opportunity is still favorable to all the people of Taiz to liberate themselves from these militias that violate rights. He stressed that they will be received properly, and the state will provide protection for them.

The Supreme Politician member had previously condemned the crimes of mercenaries against citizens in Taiz, blaming the countries involved in aggression and their tools fully responsible.

In a statement to Almasirah on Friday, Al-Same’i announced his welcome and readiness to receive any of the merchants and businessmen who suffer as a result of the chaos in the occupied areas of Taiz.

Amid the insecurity in Taiz, the Saudi-mercenaries tightened the collection of levies and looted shops. Therefore, some merchants decided to move to the areas run by the Salvation Government.

Southern governorates are witnessing security chaos, and almost daily crimes, under the control of the forces of US-Saudi aggression and Saudi-Emirati occupation. They witness increasing of assassinations involving military security leaders, religious and social tendencies, kidnapping, bombings and clashes between militants fighting for influence among them.

Recently, a gunman of the armed groups of the Saudi-mercenaries killed a citizen in the Al-Shamaytayn district, in Taiz governorate. Local sources indicated that Ali Al-Azazi was killed in front of his wife, which caused her great shock, while the gunman ran away.

In the same regard, a citizen was killed by Saudi-mercenaries sniper gunfire in Taiz.

Earlier, a citizen was injured by several scattered shrapnel after the mercenaries of the US-Saudi aggression targeted a chicken farm in the Rabat area in the city of Taiz.

The United Nations has confirmed that the security chaos in the southern governorates has become a source of concern for humanitarian workers. Deputy Director of Operations, Ghada Mudawi, assured the Security Council that the lack of security is a source of concern for workers, who are exposed to attempts to steal their cars, kidnappings and other attacks.

Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the claim of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.

The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead, and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
