President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Monday said that the American blockade was and still is one of the most prominent existing obstacles to the provision of health, electricity, clean water and roads services to citizens.
During his chairing a meeting of the Services and Social Solidarity Sector, President Al-Mashat referred that the US blockade and aggression against Yemen had a great impact on the infrastructure and services and the interruption of the salaries of state employees.
However, he stressed this “should not remain an excuse for not carrying out our duty and improving the performance of the institutions and services they provide.”
The recent cessation of the scarce support provided by the organizations comes as part of the steps taken by the aggression coalition countries, led by America, to push the country towards further deterioration in services, he added.
President Al-Mashat emphasized that the service sector is concerned with moving at a high pace and with everyone’s cooperation to ensure the integration of efforts and benefit from the available resources to provide services and projects to citizens.
He explained that the renewable energy is one of the solutions, and it can reduce the cost of services and contribute to improving their quality and continuity.
