Local sources revealed an oil leak in the pipeline carrying crude oil in the Habban district of Shabwa governorate, which extends to the Nashima oil port.
The sources said that there is a leakage of large quantities of the oil pipeline in the Aram Al Jassar area in the Habban district, due to the wear and tear of the pipe and the expiry of its use due to the end of its life span.
Habban district, like the rest of the districts through which the pipeline passes, has been suffering from serious environmental pollution for many years due to the flow of oil, in light of the silence of the company operating the pipeline and the local authority in Shabwa, which is under occupation.
