The Israeli occupation forces attacked the building adjacent to the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syrian sources reported on Monday evening.
The fresh Israeli aggression targeted the building in the Al Mazzeh area of Damascus.
SANA news agency also reported that the attack inflicted heavy damage to the targeted building as well as the nearby buildings.
The reports added that the Syrian defense systems countered some of the missiles.
This attack led to the destruction of the entire building and the martyrdom and injury of the entire people inside it, the Syrian Defense Ministry said.
Initial reports suggest that at least 6 people were martyred in the Israeli strike.
IRGC commander in Syria and Lebanon General Mohammad Reza Zahedi was martyred during the Israeli attack, according to the reports.
Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad contacted his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian following the incident and condemned the Israeli aggression.
