A number of people were seriously injured, Friday morning, as a result of a hand grenade explosion in Aden Governorate, south of the country.
Informed sources said that five people were injured when a hand grenade exploded inside a vehicle on the sea line linking the directorates of Khormaksar and Mansoura.
The sources explained that the injured are: Akram Abdul Habib, commander of the Transitional Council’s emergency forces, who sustained a serious injury that resulted in his right hand being cut off, Ahmed Muqbil, Ahmed Abs, who are in intensive care, in addition to Khattab Baras’ slight injury to his right ear, and Ali Baras with shrapnel in his shoulder.
The sources revealed that the car belongs to Akram Abdul Habib, commander of the emergency forces in Mansoura Directorate, affiliated with the Transitional Council, Ghassan Abdul Habib, and activists circulated a video of the youth before the incident occurred.
A video clip documented the last moments before the bomb exploded, as one of them appeared waving it, while some of the attendees asked him to throw it and detonate it.
