The Yemeni Armed Forces’ naval and ground units conducted a series of tactical military exercises along the western coast, Yemen’s SABA news agency reported on Sunday.

The maneuver is part of the “Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad” undertaken by the Yemeni aArmed Forces in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese people and on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, SABA mentioned.

The exercise simulated the Yemeni Armed Forces’ response to large-scale offensive operations by hostile forces, involving four virtual waves of attacks on Yemeni territory that include enemy warships and vessels preparing for an amphibious assault along the coast.

The Armed Forces practiced various combat operations to repel enemy attacks across different environments and terrains, including coastal, urban, desert, and mountainous areas, employing both defensive and tactical offensive operations.

The exercise also saw General Mobilization Forces defending Yemeni territories from hypothetical enemy forces, countering an aerial landing attempt aimed at capturing a village.

The drill follows a military exercise held a month prior by the Sixth Military Region of the Yemeni Armed Forces, during the graduation ceremony of the “Martyr Ismail Haniyeh class.”

That exercise included attacks on hypothetical Israeli targets and raids on mock settlements from multiple directions, featuring specialized tactical operations.
