Governor of Hodeidah, Abdullah Abdo Ahmed Atifi, on Wednesday visited the Al-Mina district to inspect the local service conditions.
During the visit, he discussed with district director Abdullah Al-Hadi, local council secretary Hassan Rasmi, and office directors the progress in services such as sanitation, environmental health, and epidemic control, along with challenges and solutions.
Additionally, Atifi chaired a meeting to address the status of agricultural cooperative associations, emphasizing the need to activate their role for agricultural self-sufficiency.
During the meeting, which included the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development, Jamal Al-Alawi, and the Deputy Governor for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mohammed Al-Nahari, Atifi reviewed the program and directives aimed at activating the role of cooperative associations in the upcoming phase.
He stressed the importance of collaboration between local authorities and relevant agencies to boost agricultural and developmental initiatives in the coastal regions of Tihama.
Furthermore, governor Atifi inspected the construction progress of the Great Messenger Center for the Treatment and Surgery of Tumors in Hodeidah Medical City. This $15 million project, funded and supervised by the Cancer Control Fund, will provide crucial cancer treatment services to the local population.
