The Saudi military continued targeting border areas in Saada Governorate, northern Yemen, with airstrikes, missile strikes and artillery fire, local sources reported on Monday.
According to the sources, Saudi warplanes carried out two airstrikes on the border district of Al-Dhahir, while artillery fire hit populated villages in the northern areas of the border district of Razih.
Earlier in the day, Saudi forces carried out four missile strikes east of Saada city, while they shelled residential villages in Al Thabet area of Qatabir border district with artillery and missiles.
The military escalation comes amid ongoing airstrikes and bombardment along the governorate’s border regions, which have resulted in several casualties and fatalities in recent periods.
