The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Jamal Ahmed Amer, met today with the Country Director of the Norwegian Refugee Council, Deidre Keogh.
During the meeting, Minister Amer listened to a summary from the Director of the Norwegian Refugee Council on the Council’s activities and projects in the fields of food security, water, and environmental sanitation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed his hope that the Council would maintain objectivity and neutrality in implementing its projects and activities and not link them to any external political agendas.
He urged the Norwegian Refugee Council to pay attention to long-term development projects.
In turn, the Country Director of the Norwegian Refugee Council expressed the Council’s appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates for facilitating the work of international organizations and removing any obstacles facing their work, enabling them to devote themselves to carrying out their humanitarian tasks.
