Yemen’s Armed Forces announced on Wednesday that they had carried out an operation targeting military equipment transported by Saudi Arabia aboard military cargo planes to Al-Rayyan Airport.
In a statement, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e warned Saudi Arabia against using civilian facilities for military purposes. He said such actions against the Yemeni people would bring shame and serious consequences.
Sare’e further warned that using civilian infrastructure as military staging points would endanger civilians and draw these facilities into the ongoing military escalation against Yemen.
The spokesperson stressed that Saudi Arabia would bear the consequences of such actions.
