United Nations announced, on Wednesday, its official position on the US administration’s decision targeting Yemen, against the backdrop of its participation in the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa against the Zionist enemy entity and its support for the Palestinian people.
The spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, “Stephen Dujarric”, announced in a statement on Wednesday the international system’s rejection of the US decision, explaining that the United Nations will continue its missions to save lives, warning at the same time against any obstruction to the arrival of commercial goods.
The UN official “Dujarric” demanded American guarantees regarding the arrival of humanitarian aid or goods and services.
On the other hand, international reactions continue with the US announcement of the entry of the decision to classify Yemenis on the terrorism list.
The largest international shipping companies revealed new concerns about disturbances in the sea lanes in the Gulf as a result of the decision.
Reuters quoted the Chief Safety and Security Officer at the “BAMCO” Shipping Association, expecting that the classification decision will lead to a deterioration in the security situation, referring to the return of Yemeni operations in the Red Sea.
Trump administration had previously announced that the classification decision it signed at the beginning of the year had come into effect, and hours after the American decision, Yemeni forces announced yesterday evening, Tuesday, that they had shot down an American MQ-9 aircraft off the western coast of Yemen.
