Yemeni Parliament Lauds Support for Yemen And Palestine

On Wednesday, the Yemeni Parliament expressed profound gratitude to international parliamentarians and nations supporting the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples in their “just causes,” denouncing what it called “American aggression and arrogance.”

In a special acknowledgment, the Parliament commended Irish MP and former European Parliament member Mike Wallace for affirming that Yemen’s pro-Palestine operations comply with international law—a stance it urged the broader international community to adopt.

In a letter to Wallace, the Parliament conveyed the pride of “free people” worldwide in Yemen’s resistance against “imperialism” and its “heroic stand” against what it termed “Zionist-American aggression and their regional allies.”

The Parliament sharply criticized Western civilization as “barbaric,” accusing it of concealing its “ugly face” behind “fake democracy” that is “for sale to the highest bidder.” It claimed that while 90% of Europeans support Palestine, “politicians and profiteers” continue backing the “criminal Zionist entity” and its “war crimes and genocide” against Palestinians.

Emphasizing the role of “free parliamentarians,” the Yemeni Parliament called for intensified diplomacy and engagement with “free nations” to expose the injustice facing Yemen and Palestine. It urged stronger global action to address these crises.

Reaffirming its appreciation for worldwide solidarity, the Parliament expressed hope that Arab and Islamic leaders would heed their “moral and humanitarian duty” and draw inspiration from global protests condemning “Zionist war crimes against Gaza’s children.”

In a related context, the Parliament thanked the Maldives’ People’s Assembly for banning Israeli passport holders—a “courageous decision” it said many Arab and Islamic leaders have failed to match.

It urged other “free nations” to follow suit in isolating “Israel” over its “crimes against Palestinians.”

The Parliament concluded by urging other “free countries” to take similar steps in condemning the “crimes committed by the Israeli enemy entity” against Palestinians.

It further called on all “free people” to act urgently to end the “brutal massacres committed by Zionist war criminals,” to pressure the “Zionist entity” through political and economic means, lift the siege on Gaza, and push for the prosecution of “Zionist war criminals” in international courts for crimes against Palestinian women and children.
