European Airlines Rush To Suspend Flights To Ben Gurion Airport Amid Yemen’s Aerial Blockade

The pace of European airlines’ mass withdrawal from operations at Lod Airport (Ben Gurion) has intensified, shortly after the Yemeni Armed Forces announced a comprehensive aerial blockade on the Zionist enemy.

Aviation monitoring sites reported that Polish, Greek, Irish, and Belgian airlines canceled their scheduled flights to Lod (Ben Gurion) Airport, while enemy media acknowledged that Air Europa scrapped all its scheduled flights from Madrid to occupied “Yaffa.”

Flight tracking sources noted the cancellation of nearly 80 flights bound for Ben Gurion Airport over the next 24 hours, following Yemen’s declaration of a full-scale aerial blockade, which includes strikes on enemy airports—most prominently Lod.

Meanwhile, FlightRadar confirmed that flight delay levels at Lod (Ben Gurion) Airport have reached a record high.

These developments come as international airlines increasingly refuse to operate at Lod Airport, especially after Yemen’s latest military operation led to the suspension of 422 flights on Sunday alone. With the comprehensive air siege now in effect, the number of canceled flights on Monday has exceeded 500.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced a full aerial blockade on Israel in response to the intensifying Zionist crimes in Gaza.

In a historic statement on Sunday evening, Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e declared, “The Yemeni Armed Forces will enforce a total air blockade on the Israeli enemy by repeatedly targeting airports, foremost among them Lod Airport, known by the occupiers as Ben Gurion Airport.”

He emphasized that this step comes as a direct response to Israel’s decision to escalate its aggressive military operations in Gaza.
