“Eye of Humanity” Condemns Targeting Sana’a Airport & Destroying last Yemenia Plane

Eye of Humanity Center for Rights and Development condemned in the strongest terms the heinous crime committed by the Israeli occupation entity this morning, targeting Sana’a International Airport with several airstrikes, destroying the last remaining civilian aircraft of Yemenia Airlines, less than half an hour after it landed, preparing to transport pilgrims to the Holy House of God for the Hajj pilgrimage.

The center explained in a statement that this heinous crime is an extension of a series of flagrant violations of international humanitarian law, the most recent of which was the systematic aggression earlier this month, which resulted in the destruction of three Yemeni civilian aircraft, in addition to the airport’s reception and departure lounges, leading to a near-total disruption of civil aviation in the Republic of Yemen.

The statement indicated that the Zionist enemy’s targeting of civilian aircraft in broad daylight, in full view of the international community, particularly the targeting of the aircraft designated to transport Yemeni pilgrims, constitutes a full-fledged war crime and a blatant violation of the sanctity of religious rituals and the right to movement guaranteed by Islamic law and Sharia.

The Eye of Humanity Center holds the United Nations, the Security Council, and international human rights organizations fully responsible for their shameful and disgraceful silence regarding this repeated aggression against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Yemen.

It calls for breaking the silence and taking immediate and urgent action to halt the Zionist aggression against Yemen and open a transparent and independent international investigation into these crimes.

It also calls on all free people of the world, civil society organizations, and human rights institutions to stand in solidarity with the Yemeni people in the face of this sinful aggression and to lift the unjust blockade imposed on the country for years.

It pointed out that what happened at Sana’a International Airport today is a clear declaration that the occupying entity does not hesitate to obstruct and hinder a pillar of Islam, given its religious symbolism and sacred feelings for Yemenis.

“This reflects the nature of this terrorist entity, which is based on killing, terrorizing, and violating human and religious rights.” the statement added
