Israeli Occupation Army Assassinates Journalist Hassan Eslieh In Gaza

The Israeli occupation army assassinated Palestinian journalist Hassan Eslieh at dawn Tuesday after targeting him while he was receiving treatment in the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, south of Gaza.

According to local sources, an Israeli drone directly targeted the journalist as he was still receiving medical assistance in the burns unit at the hospital, killing him and wounding others.

Journalist Eslieh suffered injuries on April 7 when an Israeli warplane bombed a tent sheltering journalists near the Nasser Hospital. The strike killed journalist Helmi al-Fuqawi and a young man called Yusuf al-Khazindar and injured other journalists.

At the time, the Israeli army had admitted that its airstrike was intended to kill journalist Hasan Eslieh, who suffered an amputation of two fingers on his right hand and a head injury.

With the killing of journalist Eslieh, the number of slain journalists since the beginning of the Israeli war of genocide has risen to 213, both male and female journalists.
