The leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, reaffirmed on Thursday that Yemen’s stance is firm and comprehensive in supporting the Palestinian people—whether through missile strikes deep into occupied Palestine or via a maritime blockade on Israeli vessels.
In a speech delivered on Thursday, Sayyed al-Houthi stressed that Yemen’s position was not, as claimed by US President Donald Trump, based on “pleading or surrender.”
“Faced with failure, the Americans reached the conclusion to halt this support, as they announced and communicated this to our brothers in Oman,” he stated.
“If the Americans engage in any round of aggression, we are prepared to face them, relying on Allah Almighty,” he added.
He reiterated that “Yemen’s declared and clear priority is to support the Palestinian people against the occupation,” asserting that Sana’a’s position remains “fully steadfast when it comes to support, whether through strikes deep into occupied Palestine or through the blockade on Israeli vessels.”
Over 1,700 US Strikes Failed to Deter Yemen
Sayyed Abdul-Malik indicated that American air and naval bombardments on Yemen have exceeded 1,712 strikes, adding that there has been a clear escalation in the second round of American aggression in support of the Israeli enemy—yet it has failed miserably.
“Their failure forced Israel to directly engage in aggression against Yemen,” he said.
He emphasized that the aggression had not weakened Yemen’s military capabilities or broken the will of its people. “In the month of Shawwal alone, we shot down seven American MQ-1 drones, while American F-18 fighter jets fell into the sea during the escape of the aircraft carrier Truman,” he stated.
Yemen Resumes Attacks on Israeli Territory
Sayyed Abdul-Malik noted that Yemen resumed its attacks on the Israeli occupation entity following the resumption of the Zionist war on Gaza, carrying out more than 131 operations.
“This week alone, we carried out operations with ten missiles and drones targeting Jaffa, Ashkelon, the Negev, Umm al-Rashrash, and occupied Haifa,” he said.
Lod Airport Strike: A Turning Point
Al-Houthi stated that Yemeni strikes created significant confusion within the occupying entity, as 27 foreign airlines announced the suspension of flights to Lod Airport (Ben Gurion). He said the strike prompted more than 3 million settlers to flee to shelters.
He described the targeting of Ben Gurion Airport as a “successful strategic operation,” noting its symbolic and logistical importance to the Israeli enemy, as well as the high level of protection systems surrounding it, including the American “THAAD” system.
US and Israeli Goals Thwarted
Sayyed al-Houthi explained that the primary goal of the United States and Israel is to eliminate Yemen’s military operations. However, their failure to achieve this has led them to instead target civilian sites in an attempt to pressure the Yemeni people, break their will, and weaken public support for the resistance.
He emphasized, “The real loss is not in the destruction of a factory or facility, but in the loss of dignity,” reaffirming that Yemen’s clear and unwavering priority is to support the Palestinian people and confront the Israeli enemy, no matter how much American aggression escalates.
Support for the Resistance in Gaza
Regarding the situation in Gaza, Sayyed Abdul-Malik said the operations of the Palestinian Resistance reflect “effectiveness, resilience, and steadfastness,” underscoring that “such a level of resilience deserves the support of the entire Islamic Ummah.”
He noted that while the Palestinian people possess the moral strength to endure, they still require the backing and support of the broader Muslim world.
He warned that the Islamic Ummah bears a great responsibility and that continued indifference to the situation in Gaza does not absolve it from the consequences of neglect.
Warnings Against Normalization and Threats to Al-Aqsa
Elsewhere in his speech, Sayyed al-Houthi warned against ongoing efforts to normalize relations with the Israeli occupation, as well as plans to assert full control over Al-Aqsa Mosque. He pointed to schemes to demolish the holy site and construct the so-called Third Temple in its place.
Call to Mobilize
Sayyed Abdul-Malik concluded his address by calling on the Yemeni people to participate in mass rallies in the capital, Sana’a, and in other provinces on Friday, expressing gratitude to Allah for the failure of American aggression, defiance toward the Israeli enemy, and solidarity with the Palestinian people and the Mujahideen in Gaza
