Yemeni Scholars Call For Arab And Islamic Unity In Confronting American-Zionist Assault

Yemeni scholars have called for the urgent unity of the Arab and Islamic nations in the face of the fierce American-Zionist assault.

The call came during a broad gathering of Yemeni scholars on Sunday under the title: “The Duty of Muslim Unity to Support Gaza and Stand with Iran Against America and the Zionist Entity.”

In the meeting, the Grand Mufti of Yemen, Allama Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din, emphasized that scholars must lead their nations and ignite the people’s spirit—calling this a sacred responsibility.

“We must have full confidence in Allah’s promise as we face direct confrontation with America and the Zionists,” he added, praising the pioneering stance of Yemeni scholars and their critical role in mobilizing the people toward jihad.

He stressed that the burden now lies on the people to take action and enforce economic boycotts, as hope in ruling regimes has faded. He added that the US and the West want Iran to be like the puppet Golani regime and cannot tolerate anyone standing against their ambitions—something free souls must reject.

For his part, Ali Udhabi, a member of the Association of Yemeni Scholars, stated: “We are certain of victory over America and the Zionist entity, and see resistance to any aggression as a religious duty.”

Meanwhile, the Mufti of Al-Baidha Governorate, Sheikh Hussein Al-Haddar, stressed that in light of this American assault on the region, it is essential to strengthen Islamic unity. He condemned the US-Zionist aggression against Iran, affirming that silence is unacceptable and praised Iran’s retaliatory response.

The call for Muslim unity comes amid escalating regional tensions following joint US-Israeli aggression against Iran, including attacks on key nuclear sites. The assault, widely condemned across the region, has intensified fears of a broader conflict engulfing the Middle East.

In response, Yemen has voiced strong solidarity with Iran and Palestine, emphasizing that resistance to US and Zionist hegemony is a religious and moral duty.
