The European Union called on Israel to halt the E1 settlement project and the plan to build 3,401 settlement units within it, and to refrain from implementing the “Sovereignty Road” plan, which extends between the towns of Al-Eizariya and Al-Za’im, east of Al-Quds.

In a statement issued today, Friday, the European Union expressed its concern regarding the Atarot settlement project, which targets the land of the former Al-Quds International Airport and entails the construction of approximately 9,000 settlement units north of Al-Quds, on an area estimated at 1,243 dunams, and the Nahalat Shimon settlement project in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
