Minor Earthquake Hits Dhalea

The National Seismological Observatory Center in Dhamar announced recording a minor earthquake in the Juban District of Dhalea Governorate early Saturday morning.

The head of the center, Engineer Mohammed al-Houthi, told “Al-Thawra Net” that monitoring stations recorded a minor earthquake measuring 1.9 on the Richter scale in Juban District, Dhalea Governorate.

He added that the tremor occurred at 3:03 AM. It was classified as a non-felt (micro) earthquake.

The Center confirmed it is maintaining 24-hour surveillance of seismic activity across Yemen to document these geological events and monitor any further developments.
