Director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza calls on international organizations to act to save captive doctors

The director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, Mohammed Abu Salmiya, participated in a solidarity vigil with Palestinian doctors held captive in Zionist enemy prisons, which was held at the complex.

Abu Salmiya said in a post on Facebook on Sunday, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba): “We met with the dignified women of Palestine, the wives of the heroic captive doctors: Dr. Adnan Al-Bursh, Dr. Raed Mahdi, Dr. Murad Al-Qawqa, and Dr. Hamza Abu Sabha.”

He added: “Their message to all of us and to the world is that doctors belong in operating rooms and hospital wards, not in death cells.”

He pointed out that 83 medical staff members are still kidnapped in the enemy’s cells, their only crime being that they stayed with their patients until the very last minute.

He called on all international, human rights, and professional organizations to take urgent action to save these captives.
