Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed the latest regional and international developments with his Spanish counterpart José Manuel Albares in a phone call on Sunday evening, along with bilateral relations.
Araghchi said he stressed Iran’s responsible approach to maintaining regional stability and outlined Tehran’s diplomatic efforts to end what he described as the war imposed by the United States and the Israeli entity.
He also referred to a recent 40-day escalation that caused civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, adding that Iran responded with Operation “True Promise 4” targeting Israeli and U.S. positions in the region.
