New York Mayor Zahran Mamdani criticized the discriminatory actions of US President Donald Trump’s administration against the Iranian national football team participating in the World Cup finals, deeming them contrary to the spirit of the tournament.

The US government’s obstruction of visa issuance and the humiliating treatment by authorities have drawn widespread criticism, including from the Muslim mayor of New York, Mamdani, regarding Trump’s policies, according to Fars News Agency.
