Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police.
According to the Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Quds (Jerusalem), 135 settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque through the Moroccan Gate in groups, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals.
Israeli occupation forces continue to impose tight restrictions on Palestinian worshippers seeking to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque, obstructing their access, forcing many away from the compound, and subjecting them to stringent identity checks.
Meanwhile, Palestinian groups have renewed calls for Palestinians from the occupied territories to intensify their presence and maintain vigil at Al-Aqsa Mosque in an effort to counter Israeli plans targeting the holy compound and its Muslim identity.
