Foreign Ministry: Saudi regime started aggression, bears full responsibility

Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has declared that the Saudi regime has ended the de-escalation and ceasefire phase by launching an unprecedented strike on Sana’a International Airport, holding Riyadh fully responsible for the attack and any consequences arising from it.

In a statement issued on Monday, the ministry said the strike marked “the beginning of a new war,” asserting that Saudi Arabia bears full responsibility for the attack and “all its consequences.”

The ministry said that Riyadh of maintaining a comprehensive blockade and economic war against Yemen throughout the de-escalation period, stressing that Saudi authorities continued tightening restrictions on the country in an attempt to pressure the Yemeni people while serving Zionist interests.

It said Yemen was entering a new phase to reclaim its rights in full, warning that Saudi Arabia had placed itself in a “major strategic dilemma” and would pay a heavy price for its aggression.

In a separate statement, the ministry expressed Yemen’s gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its role in breaking the blockade imposed on Sana’a International Airport.

It said Iran’s move represented a humanitarian and principled stance that would remain deeply appreciated by the Yemeni people and added that Yemen intended to build upon this position by strengthening bilateral cooperation and ties across various fields.
