The Deputy Foreign Minister and Expatriates Abdulwahid Abu Ras said that, amid a dangerous escalation in occupied Palestine and unprecedented disregard for international agreements, laws and charters, the Israeli enemy continues its killings, arrests, house demolitions, burning of farmland, land annexation, settlement expansion and grave crimes, benefiting from U.S. cover, European complicity, and Arab and Islamic inaction.
In a statement to Saba, Abu Ras said international charters and laws are being buried today under the rubble in occupied Palestine by the criminal Zionist entity, in full view of the so-called international community and humanitarian organizations.
He criticized some Arab regimes, particularly Saudi Arabia, for exhausting the region through endless conflicts that drain its resources and capabilities in service of the Zionist project.
Abu Ras said Saudi policies contribute to creating crises and fueling conflicts across the region, from Yemen to Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Iraq and Somalia, diverting attention from the Palestinian cause.
“Wherever Zionist ambitions move, Saudi money follows to finance them,” he said, stressing that Saudi Arabia should instead direct its hostility toward Israel and confront what he described as a cancerous entity harming the entire nation.
He added that whenever a people seeks to support the Palestinian people, Saudi Arabia works to immerse it in internal problems and crises to divert its attention.
Abu Ras concluded by affirming that the Palestinian cause remains the true measure of national commitment and credibility, and is Yemen’s foremost cause regardless of attempts by Saudi Arabia to create problems in Yemen.
