Iranian authorities executed Majid Adineh on Sunday after convicting him of carrying out field operations and sabotage on behalf of the United States and the Israeli entity.
The Iranian news agency Tasnim reported that Adineh was arrested at the scene of the crime along with another individual. He was apprehended by the Revolutionary Guard’s intelligence branch in Alborz province in the late hours of January 8th, in possession of a pistol, three ammunition magazines, 30 rounds of ammunition, two stun guns, two tear gas canisters, a battery-operated chainsaw, and a bottle of gasoline.
During the investigation, despite being found with full military equipment, the accused denied any intention of using the seized weapons. He claimed he was on his way to buy clothes and that he intended to assist security forces in directing citizens away from gatherings. He also claimed he carried the bottle of gasoline and the chainsaw to counteract the effects of tear gas.
The Revolutionary Court in Karaj considered Adineh’s case in the presence of his lawyer, on charges that included: carrying out field work for the benefit of hostile groups, the Zionist entity and America, fighting through arson, gathering and conspiring to commit crimes against internal security, practicing propaganda activity against the Islamic Republic of Iran, in addition to illegally possessing firearms, ammunition and prohibited equipment.
