Yemen’s Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi and Chief of General Staff Maj. Gen. Yusuf Hassan Al-Madani said the Yemeni Armed Forces are at a high level of readiness to confront challenges, respond to any hostile moves and pursue the Yemeni people’s rights.
The remarks came in congratulatory messages to the Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, Yemen’s President Mahdi Mohammed Al-Mashat and Yemeni forces stationed on the front lines, marking the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed’s birth.
Al-Atifi and Al-Madani said Yemen’s Armed Forces had become stronger and more cohesive, asserting that the country’s military posture had shifted from defensive operations to offensive and preemptive action.
They warned that any hostile move would be met with military strikes, saying Yemen’s ballistic missiles and drones had developed the capability to reach deep into enemy territory.
They also said any continued blockade would be met with a counter-blockade, alongside expanded military options and upgraded capabilities.
The two commanders also warned Saudi Arabia against prolonging aggression and the blockade, saying Yemen’s military options had expanded and that its strategic patience was nearing its limit.
Addressing the Saudi, US and Zionist-backed forces and their allies, they said previous military equations had collapsed, affirming that Yemen, which was once under siege, had now become capable of imposing pressure on its adversaries.
They further warned that any new attempt to undermine the rights of the Yemeni people would face military deterrence capable of changing the balance of power in the region.
The military leadership said all branches of the Yemeni Armed Forces had been placed on full alert and were monitoring enemy movements, stressing that the forces were prepared for a comprehensive confrontation and would continue until achieving victory and ending foreign occupation of Yemeni territory.
In a separate message to forces stationed on the front lines, Al-Atifi and Al-Madani praised their endurance and urged those fighting alongside the Saudi-led camp to abandon the conflict, warning them of severe consequences if they continued.
Earlier the Yemeni Armed Forces said they targeted the Saudi-linked oil tanker AMZAN off Yanbu in the northern Red Sea with a ballistic missile, reportedly setting it ablaze.
They also announced strikes on Saudi military build-ups in Al-Wadiah and Al-Kanais, saying more than 10 weapon-laden trucks were destroyed and dozens of personnel, including commanders and officers, were killed or wounded.
The Yemeni Armed Forces reaffirmed that they would continue enforcing the maritime ban on the Saudi enemy within the previously declared area of operations, considering the campaign as part of the broader blockade-for-blockade and comprehensive escalation for comprehensive escalation equation.
They also warned that they were prepared to respond to any further escalation with stronger strikes and broader military operations.
