Iranian Army Ground Forces Commander Brig. Gen. Ali Jahanshahi said Wednesday that the deployment of ground units along Iran’s borders deterred the enemy from launching ground operations.
Speaking in Mashhad, Jahanshahi said around 10 brigades are also deployed along the Makran coast and the Gulf of Oman to maintain readiness and secure the country’s borders.
He said the forces are fully prepared to defend Iran, stressing that combat readiness depends not only on military capabilities but also on the fighters’ morale and faith.
Jahanshahi added that despite the enemy’s military and technological superiority, it had failed to achieve its objectives, including dismantling Iran and overthrowing the Islamic Republic system.
