Libya’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Dr. Sadiq Al-Gharyani, said Wednesday that the war against Ansar Allah in Yemen is being led by Saudi Arabia on behalf of the United States.
In a video posted on X and monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Al-Gharyani urged Muslims to note that Saudi Arabia is waging the war against Yemen’s resistance and Ansar Allah with aircraft and missiles on behalf of the Americans.
He said the United States has found itself “mired” in the Strait of Hormuz crisis while portraying the strait as being under its control, adding that Ansar Allah’s control of the Bab al-Mandab Strait has further complicated the US situation and made its claimed victories an illusion.
