Cuba has requested a UN General Assembly session under agenda item 38 calling for an end to the U.S. economic, commercial, and financial embargo.
Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said the session will be held on July 7, where Cuba and other countries will condemn U.S. measures, including threats of military action and restrictions on the energy sector, which further tighten the blockade.
He described these actions as “collective punishment” , a violation of international law and human rights, adding that “Cuba is not a threat; the blockade is the real threat.”
