The Yemeni army and popular committees on Monday repelled a large-scale attack carried out by mercenaries hired by Saudi-led aggression coalition in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, a military official told Saba News Agency.
According to the official, the battle, which took place in Salah area, left dozens of the mercenaries dead and wounded, including military leaders.
He confirmed that the attackers suffered heavy casualties during their attempt.
It is worthy to say that the mercenaries carried this infiltration attempt for the fourth consecutive day and lasted for six hours without making any progress.
