The Information Department of the Republic Presidency has condemned the decision of the Facebook administration to arbitrarily close the official page of the Presidency Office on Facebook.
The department said the deletion of the page was arbitrary and without any legal justification, or in violation of the standards claimed by the Facebook administration.
The department clarified that the page was removed after its followers reached more than 150 thousand, noting that this is not the first time that the office page has been closed on Facebook.
The statement stressed that the continued closure of pages and accounts by Facebook and other social media sites against the policies of arrogant global states, led by America, exposes the falsity of the slogans they raise in the name of democracy and freedom of expression.
