Mahdi al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, met on Saturday with Minister of Transport Abdulwahab al-Durrah.

During the meeting, al-Mashat and al-Durrah discussed the situation of the transport sector, the port of Hodeida and the difficulties it faces as a result of the US-Saudi aggression and the siege on the Yemeni people.

They dealt with the killing, looting and violations of the aggression and its mercenaries, the latest of which was the killing of the child Akram Al-Azazi, as well as the citizen Khaled Abdullah from the Ibb province, who was subjected to extortion and murder by bandits in the areas under the control of the aggression.

President al-Mashat confirmed that the repeated cancellation of flights scheduled for the provisions of the humanitarian truce through Sana’a International Airport constitutes a clear repudiation of the terms of the truce.

He said, “The sudden cancellation of flights deprives citizens of benefiting from this truce, considering it almost non-existent.”

The President of the Supreme Political Council pointed to the importance of opening roads to alleviate the suffering of citizens in Taiz province and in the rest of the provinces.

For his part, the transport minister touched on the problems and obstacles faced by citizens and owners of locomotives transport such as looting of their properties and killing them in dirt roads by aggression and its mercenaries as well as cutting off main roads eligible for transport which doubles transportation costs, leads to higher prices and exacerbates the suffering of citizens.

Al-Durrah stressed that opening the main roads eligible for transportation would constitute a major breakthrough for citizens and they would alleviate their suffering.
