Judicial authorities in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, have revealed investigations into a gang specialized in stealing mummies from ancient tombs
A judicial source said that the Public Prosecution Office is investigating suspects who seized antique mummies they had looted from a cemetery in the city of Thala in ‘Amran governorate.
The source added, “The gang, consisting of three people, attacked one of the ancient cemeteries in the city of Thala and took three mummies mummified in animal skins.
