Defense Minister Warns US-Saudi Aggression

 The Minister of Defense, Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi, confirmed that the Yemen’s Army will continue to rely on the principle of strategic deterrence until the aggressors understand that Sana’a will not compromise on the rights of the people of Yemen and will work to gain it.

Al-Atifi also warned the US-Saudi aggression that continuing to play with the humanitarian situation would lead the region to disaster.

This came during his meeting today with council of ministers where the council discussed developments on the military side and the internal situation in light of the escalation of the recent aggression in Sa’adah governorate.

The Council listened to the report of the Minister of Defense, on developments on the military side, explaining that the US-Saudi aggression is escalating its hostile actions towards the people of Yemen  in conjunction with the continuation of the blockade, which has increased the suffering of the Yemen’s.

The Minister of Defense pointed out that the US-Saudi aggression resorted to psychological warfare to target the home front after its failure to undermine the will the people of Yemen through its aggression and siege over the past years.

He praised the great efforts made by the leadership in Sana’a to pave the way for regional and international peaceful efforts to end the aggression and siege and its humanitarian conditions that express popular demands.

The Council of Ministers also condemned the escalation of the US-Saudi aggression in the northern border districts, which resulted in the killed of hundreds and injured of thousands during the truce.

It stressed that Sana’a, which is keen on the success of peace to alleviate the suffering the  people of Yemen due to the aggression and blockade, has the right to deal with any escalatory actions.

The Council condemned the agreement signed between the representative of the so-called Transitional Council in the government of agents of the coalition of aggression and the US-Saudi-Emirati occupation and a fictitious Emirati company, to exploit the fish port of Qishn to plunder mineral resources.
