Media sources in Aden confirmed the death of the mercenary, Brigadier General Zaki Abdullah Hassan Al-Lahji, in Lahj Governorate.

The sources added that the mercenary Al-Lahji, commander of the so-called Coastal Defense Brigade, was involved in a traffic accident near the Sheikh Salem area in Abyan, and he was transported, accompanied by his private driver, to a nearby hospital in Zanzibar in an attempt to save their lives, but they both died.

Commander “Abu Al-Abed” is considered the most prominent leader loyal to (Islah) and he had a role in the confrontations that took place in Abyan between the party’s forces and the Emirati-backed Transitional Council in the past years, before the transitional forces took control of the province last year.
