Libya suspends Najla al-Mangoush after her meeting with Zionist FM in Rome

The Libyan Government has suspended Foreign Minister Najla al-Mangoush shortly after news reports went viral that she met with her Israeli occupation’s counterpart Eli Cohen last week in Rome, despite the two countries having no formal relations.

Prime minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah said late on Sunday evening that minister Najla al-Mangoush has been “temporarily suspended” and would be subject to an “administrative investigation” by a commission chaired by the Justice Minister.

On the streets of Tripoli and other Libyan cities, protests erupted last night in rejection of normalisation with the occupying Israeli regime. The protests saw young people block roads, burn tyres and wave the Palestinian flag
