The Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi and the military committee announced on Friday opening of two roads to the city of Taiz, following directives of the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council, Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat.
Al-Masawi explained that the first main road, Al-Huban – People’s Palace – Al-Kamb, is designated for travelers and light vehicles, while the second road, Al-Sittin – Al-Khamsin – Madinat Al-Noor – Bir Basha, is designated for heavy and medium transport trucks.
He emphasized the commitment to ensuring security, safety of citizens and alleviating their suffering, especially before the arrival of Eid Al-Adha, despite the lack of response from the other party to previous initiatives.
Al-Masawi praised the military committee’s efforts in opening these roads to facilitate safe and secure travel for citizens and travelers.
Colonel Shukri Naaman, a member of the military committee, pointed out that the other party has consistently cited various excuses during discussions in Amman, Muscat, and Jordan, insisting on the opening of the Sofitel Palace road.
He confirmed that with the opening of this road, the other party has no more excuses.
Naaman expressed gratitude to the leader of the revolution, the President of the Supreme Political Council, the leadership of the Fourth Military Region, and the head of the military committee for their efforts and dedication in opening the roads.
For his part , In turn, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni News Agency, Saba, Editor-in-Chief, Nasr al-Din Amer, confirmed the beginning of preparations, including removing barriers, clearing debris, and completing procedures to open the two roads in order to alleviate the citizens’ suffering before Eid Al-Adha.
He emphasized that this initiative is not due to external pressure but rather an initiative from the leadership in Sana’a.
Several sheikhs and citizens expressed their great happiness with this initiative launched by the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, hoping that it would be welcomed by the other party.
