Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has strongly condemned the recent attacks by extremist armed groups on rural areas in Aleppo and Idlib, Syria.
In a statement, the Ministry described these attacks as part of a broader conspiracy against Syria, serving Zionist agendas in the country and the region. It urged regional states to collaborate in advancing the progress made toward achieving a settlement in Syria and to work collectively to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
The statement reaffirmed the solidarity of Yemen with the Syria in its fight against terrorist activities aimed at destabilizing the country and threatening its unity and stability.
On Wednesday, Takfiri terrorists, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, launched a large-scale offensive in Aleppo and Idlib provinces in northwestern Syria, seizing several areas, according to reports. Syrian government forces have since been engaged in intense clashes with the militants to regain lost ground.
