Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Friday that Iran was ready to help resolve disputes between Yemen , Saudi Arabia through dialogue and diplomacy if both sides requested it.
He said foreign intervention, military action and the blockade were not solutions to Yemen’s crisis, stressing the need to respect Yemen’s sovereignty, end interference in its internal affairs and lift the air and sea blockade.
Baghaei rejected claims that Iran had encouraged Yemeni attacks on Saudi Arabia, saying Yemen’s armed forces act according to their own assessments.
