The Israeli army acknowledged last night the death of four of its soldiers from the “Nahal” Brigade and the serious injury of an officer and a soldier in northern Gaza Strip.

Hebrew media reported that six other soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel, were injured as a result of an attack targeting a military vehicle belonging to the deputy commander of a battalion in the Israeli army.

The media also stated that the four soldiers were killed due to the explosion of a powerful device in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza. The explosion targeted a patrol of the deputy commander of the Nahal Brigade, who was injured in the attack.

The reports described the Beit Hanoun attack as a double ambush, involving the detonation of a mine and a shooting attack on the Israeli forces.

The media indicated that initial investigations confirmed that evacuating the dead and injured soldiers from Beit Hanoun was complicated and occurred under fire from militants.

Earlier, Palestinian media quoted settler platforms stating that seven Israeli soldiers were killed on Saturday, with around 30 others wounded, including 11 in critical and serious condition.

The platforms mentioned that the seven deceased soldiers included four from the “Nahal” Brigade, two from the “Netsah Yehuda” Battalion of the “Kfir” Brigade, and one from the “Givati” Brigade.

They also reported the evacuation of about 33 officers and soldiers from the Gaza Strip, broadcasting images of Israeli soldiers evacuating dead and wounded soldiers on stretchers to a helicopter.

The settler platforms stated that a “very difficult” event occurred today in the Gaza Strip, which was nearly “unprecedented” in terms of the number of dead and wounded.

Since the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip began on October 7, 2023, the Israeli army has acknowledged the death of 831 officers and soldiers.
