Head of the National Negotiating Delegation Mohammad Abdulsalam met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Muscat, where the meeting discussed the latest developments in the region, including the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza.
Abdulsalam stressed during the meeting that Yemen is closely monitoring developments in the region, stressing that Yemen’s future moves in support of the Palestinian people will depend on the other party’s commitment to fully implementing the terms of the ceasefire.
Abdulsalam pointed to “the full readiness of the Yemeni armed forces to confront any aggressive moves by the enemies.”
Abdulsalam expressed the importance of coordination between the concerned countries to support the rights of the Palestinians and achieve stability in the region.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister praised the honorable solidarity of the Yemeni government and people with the oppressed Palestinian people in confronting the occupation and genocide that lasted for sixteen months by the Zionist entity in Gaza, and stressed that this support played a major role in the victory of the Palestinian people and resistance and the imposition of a ceasefire on the Zionist entity.
Araghchi also reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran’s firm position in supporting the unity of Yemeni territories and its national sovereignty, noting that stability and security in Yemen play a vital role in the security and sustainable development of the region.
