The representative of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in Dhamar and Al Bayda Governorates, Mohammed Nashwan, inspected the “Aqabat Al-Quwwa” paving project in Maswara in Al Bayda Governorate, which is being implemented through community initiatives and support from the Interventions Unit.
During the visit, accompanied by the Director of Initiatives in Maswara District, Ali Taqdamah, and the Director of Public Relations and Media in the Interventions Unit, Engineer Marwan Mohammed, Nashwan explained that work is underway in the first phase of this important project that links Maswara District in Al Bayda Governorate and Markha Al Ulya District in Shabwa Governorate.
He confirmed that 400 meters in length and five meters in width have been completed, while the paving work carried out so far has reached 1,800 square meters, with a completion rate of 60 percent of the project that benefits more than 12,513 people from Al Bayda and Shabwa.
The representative of the unit praised the tangible community role of the people of Shabwa and Al Bayda in implementing this project, which represented a model of cooperation and integration of efforts to serve the people of the two governorates.
He considered the active participation of the people of the two governorates in the project in its various stages an expression of keenness to contribute to achieving development and serving the people of the beneficiary areas.
Nashwan stressed the continuation of the interventions unit in supporting initiative projects in the field of roads and other infrastructure projects in all directorates.
For his part, the Director of Relations and Media at the unit explained that the visit to the Maswarah Directorate aims to shed light on the role and efforts of the community in adopting and implementing projects that deserve all support and appreciation as they come in light of the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through.
