Zionist settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation police forces, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday, amid severe restrictions imposed on Palestinian worshipers attempting to access the holy site.
According to local sources in occupied Quds (Jerusalem), at least 96 settlers entered the mosque compound through the Maghariba Gate.
They toured the courtyards under heavy police escort during the morning hours.
In addition, several participants were seen performing Talmudic prayers in a manner considered provocative within the Islamic holy site.
At the same time, Israeli occupation police tightened restrictions on Palestinian worshipers at the entrances and gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Many Palestinians were reportedly prevented from entering, while others faced delays and identity checks as access to the site was heavily controlled.
These repeated incursions, combined with ongoing access restrictions, continue to raise tensions in occupied Quds (Jerusalem) and are widely viewed by Palestinians as part of efforts to alter the historical and religious status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque
