Israeli forces expanded their incursions into Syria’s southern Quneitra province on Saturday, with a military patrol entering the central countryside and a checkpoint set up in the north to search passersby.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said three military vehicles entered the area around Al-Mantara Dam and briefly stationed themselves at an abandoned house.
It added that Israeli forces set up a checkpoint between Jbata Al-Khashab and Ofaniya. At least 55 Israeli incursions and field movements have been documented in Quneitra and Daraa during the first three weeks of August.
