Death toll from US-Israeli aggression against Iran rises to 3,375

The head of the Legal Medicine Organization of Iran put the death toll from the US-Israeli war of aggression against the country at 3,375, noting that about 40 percent of the bodies were initially unidentifiable due to the types of bombs and missiles used by the enemies, according to Tasnim News Agency.

Expounding on the performance of the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization during 40 days of the imposed war against Iran, Abbas Masjedi said the bulk of Iranians martyred in the war were innocent citizens, children, the elderly, and individuals working in administrative centers.

From the beginning of the US-Israeli war of aggression on February 28 until the last hour of April 10, a total of 3,375 Iranians were martyred, of which 2,875 were men and 496 were women, he said.

Masjedi noted that currently, four bodies remain unaccounted for due to the severity and type of injuries.

Condemning the heinous bombing of an elementary school in Iran’s southern city of Minab on February 28 as a heartbreaking incident, the official said more than 160 children were martyred in the US-Israeli strike.

“Due to the types of bombs and missiles utilized by the criminal United States and the Zionist regime, around 40 percent of the martyrs’ bodies were initially unidentifiable, but our colleagues across the country, especially in Tehran, Isfahan, and Hormozgan, succeeded in identifying these bodies and delivering them to their families,” Masjedi stated.
