The UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights and counter-terrorism, Ben Sul, stated that the US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is illegal under international law.
In a post on the “X” platform on Monday, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), he explained that “regardless of whether it is consistent with the law of maritime warfare, this constitutes a continuation of the illegal US aggression against Iran.”
